Big news to share today—Fidus Global has acquired the key assets of Fulfilld, Inc. — creators of an innovative Warehouse Management System (WMS) and AI-Powered Slotting Solution.
We acquired Fulfilld's core technology assets, including their code base and intellectual property, and we welcomed several of their key engineers to the Fidus team to help us continue building on this strong foundation.
I wanted to take a moment to talk about why we made this move, how it helps us build the next generation of warehouse automation ecosystems, and what it means for our customers.
Why We Made This Move
Our mission has always been clear: to give businesses true freedom to control and optimize their material handling operations without locking them into proprietary systems.
That's why we're committed to building the industry's first truly open-architecture Enterprise Control Platform (ECP)—an end-to-end solution that will manage every aspect of warehouse automation from equipment control to inventory management.
Expanding Our Platform with Fulfilld
Today, our award-winning Pontem suite provides exceptional Warehouse Control System (WCS) capabilities that directly control physical automation hardware and interface with existing first-generation systems, breaking down communication barriers.
With the Fulfilld acquisition, we're accelerating the next evolution of Pontem by building an open-architecture Warehouse Management System (WMS) that will expand our platform beyond equipment control and move us closer to a fully unified Enterprise Control Platform.
We're not simply rebranding Fulfilld's products, we're adapting and evolving their core technology into a new WMS offering that full embodies Fidus' open-architecture philosophy.
Freedom Through Open Architecture
By applying our open-architecture philosophy to warehouse management functions, we'll give customers the same freedom and flexibility they experience with our WCS solutions.
This comprehensive approach will ultimately free businesses from the limitations of closed, vendor-controlled systems across their entire warehouse operation.
Born from Frustration, Built for Freedom
I founded Fidus out of the real frustrations I faced as a warehouse operator.
First-generation warehouse automation, with its black-box systems and transactional business models, created as many problems as it solved. End-users like myself were left dependent on vendors, unable to modify their systems without expensive service calls and access to proprietary knowledge.
Fidus is committed to doing things differently.
The Future Is Open
Warehouse automation is still in its early days—only 20% of warehouses in the US are automated—but that's changing fast.
It's time for the next generation of automation, one that puts customers in control, not vendors.
This new era is defined by open architecture, full customization, and true ownership of the technology.
Whether you're taking your first steps into automation or trapped in restrictive first-generation systems, our promise remains the same:
-
-
-
Powerful automation you can modify yourself
-
Responsive systems that adapt to your needs
-
Open access to your own technology
No black boxes, no artificial limitations—just the freedom to control and optimize operations on your terms.
Engineering Talent Secured
While Fulfilld as a company is winding down and its leadership team moving on to new ventures, we're pleased to have retained several key engineers who built and deeply understand the Fulfilld WMS technology. Their expertise and institutional knowledge will be invaluable as we evolve these assets into new offerings within the Pontem family of products.
Together, we're building the open-architecture Warehouse Management System that will bring us one step closer to our vision for a comprehensive Enterprise Control Platform.
Let’s Build It Together
This is just the beginning of an exciting new chapter for warehouse automation technology.
Stay connected with us to follow our progress as we continue developing solutions that give you the freedom and control you deserve.
